The testers working for the website DisplayMate conducted their own test on the screen of Samsung GalaxyNote 9. The panel turned out to be the best among all the panels mounted in smartphones that have ever been tested in the laboratory of DisplayMate – and there was already a lot of them! THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE IS THE MAXIMAL BRIGHTNESS OF THE SCREEN OF the NOTE 9. Samsung GalaxyNote 9 is the second smartphone in history that during a laboratory test received a green mark in almost every category, which means a very good or excellent result. The screen of the new Note 9 enchants with the maximal brightness that is higher by 27 percent comparing to its predecessor. The screen is constructed in such a way that it can achieve brightness of 710 nits on the whole surface. When maximally a half of the screen is active the brightness goes up to 825 nits. The peak value is tremendous 1050 nits, but it is achieved only when maximally 1 percent of the screen is illuminated. The unofficial renders of folding Samsung leaked
We know about the Samsung smartphone for a while now. However at last there are some specific information about this strange phone. On the website GMSArena there are six concept renders of the device that everyone all over the world is so concerned about. Of course it is not entirely sure that it is what it will finally look like, but they are still some details. SAMSUNG SCREEN It is worth adding that the renders of the Samsung phone were created by Jonas Dähnert (not related to the South Korean company), so they are not obvious, official renders for this phone. Evidently Dähnert referred to the information that until now was leaking on the upcoming Samsung smartphone. Samsung is preparing a smartphone for players
The Koreans from the company Samsung started to follow the latest trends in the branch and are preparing a smartphone dedicated to gamers. By the way, we have information that the smartphone with a folded display will not be called Galaxy X. Lately we have a real outbreak of gaming smartphones. There is Xiaomi Black Shark, Nubla Red Magic, AsusRog Phone or Razer Phone. It turns out that a similar phone is being prepared also by Samsung. WHAT WILL THE SAMSUNG DISPLAY BE LIKE? The model for gamers will probably be equipped in the OLED display, but it is rather doubtful that it is going to be an LCD screen. iPhone X – the best-ranked display in history thanks to…
Service DisplayMate, that for many is a real authority when it comes to smartphones, decided to thoroughly test a display implemented in the first iPhone that is a representative of X family. The result of this research is clear – iPhone X is the best-ranked screen in history. A display, after many tests, measures and studies, gained the highest mark – A+, the highest among the smartphones tested until now. In almost all categories the phone display gained green notes, which means at least “very good”. The only drawback is an issue of dynamic lightness, which in reality is a problem of all screens created in OLED technology, but even in this category Apple gets “good” mark. The experts praise the screen for being almost ideal in reproducing colours, it has the highest top lightness, the highest rate of contrast – also in the natural light, decidedly the lowest rate of reflection and the fluctuation of lightness when we change the viewing angle. DisplayMate notice and appreciate the fact that this screen is distinguished by the natural colours and displaying black and lightness perfectly. They praise also the HDR or Night Shift modes. The Apple workers claim that the project for the display in iPhone X is fully their own and they are responsible for the success of this screen. However the fact is that in production they used OLED displays that were produced by Korean. They are creators of this technology and for many years they have worked to enhance OLEDs. It seems that those screens are the future in the branch and they have already beaten LCD....
What will the display in iPhone 9 be like?
Like every year, the premiere of new flagships evoke emotions, especially of those that are produced by Samsung and Apple. Long before that the specialists and enthusiasts of new technologies argue and dispute what would the new smartphones look like. The same is with iPhone 9, that is one of three phones planned by Apple for 2018. Apart from that on the market will appear two new models from the family X that debuted a year ago. The gossips tell that iPhone 9 will be different from its predecessor , especially when it comes to the display and its size. The leaks tell that, as in case of the “ninth”, that there is a bigger visual revolution. The display is to be enlarged and instead of diagonal of 5,7’’ that was in the previous models, we will have 6,1’’. All of that in Full HD+ resolution, so 2160×1080 pixels, and the screen itself will have proportions of 18:9. Thanks to that the pixel density should remain 395 ppi. If it comes to technology, the display would be made in Full Active LCD, so we can assume that OLED technology is reserved by Apple for iPhones X and there it would be used. Display in iPhone 7 vs. Display in iPhone 8 – are they very different?
When comparing the “seventh” and “eighth”, so the Apple’s flagships, we can quickly come to a conclusion that those models are not so different. The American tried a safe cosmetics, improving hardware only a bit – the better processor, so more ram. But from the outside they gave us a phone that really resembles its predecessor. Even the dimensions are almost identical, because iPhone 8 is a bit thicker than its older brother, but has the same width and length. Just as in case of a display with dimensions of 750 x 1334 pixels, the screen has the diagonal of 4,70’’ with a density of pixels of 326 ppi. However we must admit that iPhone 8 gained a True-Tone function that lets automatically adjust the parameters of image that adjusts the smartphone to the light conditions. The fact that the previous panel of both models looks identical makes the customers wonder if the components included in the display can be changed between the “seventh” and the “eighth” without any failure or cracks. Unfortunately this situation would be unprofitable to Apple and in the case of these models we can’t talk about using the spare parts.
